In 2021, Diane moved into her current role as the Vice President of Behavioral Health Integration, leading the newest service area at Bay Cove.

Our Beginnings

Bay Cove Human Services began in 1974 as a single program—Andrew House, a medically-supervised alcohol detoxification unit. In the years since, the agency has expanded its services to include a wider continuum of treatment options for people with substance use disorder, as well as programs for individuals challenged by intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental illness, aging, homelessness, or some combination of all of the above. Today, Bay Cove encompasses more than 175 program locations throughout Greater Boston/Southeastern Massachusetts, employing a staff of over 2,000 human service professionals.

Over the years, Bay Cove has merged with a number of other smaller non-profits, including Kit Clark Senior Services in Dorchester, Center House in Boston, CASPAR Inc. (Cambridge and Somerville Programs for Addiction Recovery), and Growthways Inc. of Southeastern Massachusetts to help the agency fulfill its mission of partnering with people to overcome challenges and realize personal potential.

The agency continues to grow today, with Bay Cove continually adding new services, working each day to be one of the leading human services agencies in Massachusetts, and providing our special brand of individualized services to thousands of people, one person at a time.

The No Wrong Door Philosophy

No Wrong Door is an initiative designed to connect individuals and/or families with the appropriate service they need in a manner that is streamlined, effective and seamless.

The philosophy behind the No Wrong Door initiative has been adopted by human service providers and non-profit organizations across the United States and around the world, and it is an approach that the Bay Cove Behavioral Health & Wellness Center shares.

No Wrong Door means that we encourage anyone experiencing any challenging behavioral health situation to contact us. We want to help. If the situation is something that our clinicians are equipped and trained to help with—either in the community, wherever you are, or at our program facility—we will. If you require a service that we do not provide, we will act as a facilitator to connect you with the help that you need from another nearby service provider.

Put at its simplest, if you need help, but are unsure where to turn, contact us. We will help you find what you need!

We Are Here For You 24/7/365
